Lone Indian Cove

January 2022

Car camper. My odometer hit 100k and my hand crafted insulated window covers were a success. I grilled onions and ate kbbq, climbed over and under, stacked rocks and got lost in the mix of it all. Even my dreams were weird and complex. Still, I am, afraid of the dark. Silence brings stillness brings the unknown that lurks behind boulders. But not the lone white-tailed ground squirrel crawling out of crevices. And so it seems, there’s nothing a sweet sunrise can’t fix. The sweeter sunset to wipe the light away and the pleasant discovery of a small bell pepper-shaped leaf with a yellow berry inside. All too wonderful.
